The Life of Matthew

OK, I know you’re sick and tired of reading about the Zoo and I do apologise to those who’ve complained mentioned that I’ve not written for a long time (Yes Uncle Bert and Tilly Farfar, I’m talking to you) but hey, I’m 23 months old and I’ve got a lot of stuff to do!

So many things have been going on since I last posted. I’ve been to Denmark for a holiday with Mummy and Mormor and I’ve been to France to see Grandma and Granddad on their boat. I’ve had an ear infection (again) and I’ve kissed an older girl (but don’t tell her granddad) but to tell you everything would just take too long so I hope you’ll bear with me and let me carry on from now.

I’ve got a fever and conjunctivitis! Guess where I got them from? Nursery school. Daddy swears that those places are just testing grounds for juvenile germ warfare laboratories. Naturally I’ve not been at my best over the past couple of days but I’m on the mend. I’m back to my old trick of switching on all kitchen appliances (at least those at ground level) so I must be getting better.

I’m also enjoying my food although I can be a bit fussy. Whilst this isn’t very interesting it is an excuse for showing the picture above of me eating (and wearing) a chocolate covered rice cake.

I’m also giving my potty a try out. I don’t always use it for its intended purpose, I often just like to sit on it for no real reason, and sometimes I stand up at the wrong time but when I get it right you should hear the applause from my audience. I like being told that I’m a clever boy so I think that I’ll stick with this potty malarkey for the time being, at least until something better comes along.
