8 Months!

Sleeping like a babyToday is a big day for me. I have just been for my eight month check-up and lots of exciting things are about to happen for me.

First of all I am growing as I should and everything is normal. I’ve put on quite a bit of weight but since I didn’t put on anything last month it’s all evened out. It was my first visit to the doctor without any injections and I’m such a good boy that I don’t need to go for another two months.

The doctor says that I can now have gluten which apparently means that I can eat things like pasta, cereals and bread. It seems that someone once said that man cannot live by bread alone but Mummy says this is rubbish as she could quite happily do that - as long as the bread came with Lurpak, whatever that is. I was given a small piece (bread not Lurpak) and I don’t see what all the fuss is about.
I can also eat red meat which means I will soon be trying my first bolognaise. This is Daddy’s favourite.

From today I will also be eating raw fruit which will be exciting. So far everything but bananas and avocado has been steamed. I wonder if my favourite fruits will taste the same. I’m particularly keen on apple mixed with strawberry. I’ve just tried melon which was very nice and sweet although very watery.

The doctor says to wait for another month before introducing fish as it is more likely to cause an allergic reaction than meat.

No doubt I’ll be letting you know how I like my new foods.

Until next time, bye bye

UPDATE: I forgot to mention my vital statistics. I now weigh 10.45kg and am 73cm tall.
