Last Friday, Mummy, Daddy and I went to visit Grandma and Granddad who live in southern Spain. It took us 11 hours (including five stops) and everyone says that I was a good boy for sitting in the car for so long. It was a good journey and Mummy and Daddy took turns sitting in the back and entertaining me.
I haven’t seen Grandma and Granddad since I was two weeks old so it took me a bit to get used to them but after a few hours I was laughing and playing with them. Granddad is really funny and made me laugh a lot.
We only stayed for the weekend as Mummy and Daddy have work to do but it was a fun visit.
We went out for a spin on Saturday around the area and had lunch in a small bar. In Andalusia they have a law that tapas must be served with drinks (except coffee); so for every drink that the grown ups had they had food brought for free. Daddy thought that this was a wonderful and civilised rule and everyone should do it! Grandma thought that it was a good idea to show me how to play with the paper table cloth and encouraged me to rip it much to Daddy’s disgust. He said that Grandma was a vandal and a bad influence on me. I just thought it was funny.
When we got back I played on my Musical Garden and everyone was cheering and clapping when I managed to roll over from my front onto my back. To show them that it wasn’t a fluke I did it again and again. I can now roll over on to my front and back again with is a really good trick and means that I won’t have to rely on Mummy or Daddy to rescue me when I get stuck.
On Sunday we went for lunch in a restaurant that was in a cave (although you couldn’t tell from the inside). I was very tired from all of the travelling so was a bit fussy at first but after some apple purée I went to sleep and felt a lot better. The rest of the day was spent looking around and having a quiet evening.
We travelled back on Monday after a very short visit but it was really nice to see Grandma and Granddad and I can’t wait to see them again.
Until next time, bye bye.
