We all had to go and see the specialist in Olot today for a check up on my colitis as it’s been nearly two months since Mummy stopped drinking milk. The doctor looked at my “poo chart” (Mummy and Daddy keep a record of my poos to see if they contain blood or mucus).
Although there is a definite improvement the doctor said that things could be better. He wants me to go for a blood test to see what shows up. He also wants Mummy and Daddy to wait until the blood test before starting me off on solids and he wants me to have vegetables instead of fruit. I have to start eating chicken soon as well because he thinks I’m too white and might need an iron boost.
The doctor had said that colitis in babies was rare and that it was a possible reaction to cow’s milk. After seeing the doctor, Mummy did some research on the Internet and found that American research shows that 8% of babies suffer from it (not that rare then) and that eggs could be a contributing factor. Mummy is now going to stop eating anything with eggs in it as well as anything with milk.
I’ll let you know how the blood test goes.
Until next time, bye bye.
