The Life of Matthew

Mummy and Daddy both have colds again and so they are wearing face masks and washing their hands before picking me up to make sure that I don’t get their germs! Mummy’s cold started two days ago, Daddy got snuffles yesterday and came down with it today. Poor them.

To make matters worse I’ve slightly adjusted my sleeping arrangements over the past two nights. Instead of waking up at seven or half past as normal, I’ve been getting up at 4.15 and 5.30. Daddy said that at least this morning we had a lie in!

I don’t mind getting up early because (a) I get to spend more of the day with Mummy and Daddy (and I know they feel the same way) and (b) I can have a snooze any time I want to on Mummy’s lap, snuggling one of my toys.
