The Life of Matthew

Today is my Daddy’s birthday.

After we had our morning snuggle in bed Mummy and I went downstairs and arranged Daddy’s presents.

Once Daddy came downstairs we all sat together on the settee and I had my breakfast while Daddy tucked into his presents. We gave him a book, some special man soap for his face (Mummy says using real soap is bad for your skin) and a new watch! Mummy and I went into town yesterday to go present shopping and she said I was very well behaved, as always. Even when strange women came up to my pram I didn’t say anything.

Later Mummy is going to make Daddy a special, mini birthday cake (it involves whipped cream so Mummy can’t have any) and then she’s making him his favourite dish, spaghetti bolognaise.

We’re going to go and have coffee by the beach now and enjoy Daddy’s special day.
