Apparently the whole Christmas thing is over now so it’s time to get back to my blog. Mummy is even back at work. I don’t like that at all!

Anyway, Mummy, Daddy and I went to see the specialist that the doctor recommended just before the New Year. He was very nice and he spoke English which Mummy and Daddy were very pleased with. He prodded me in some strange places but I got my revenge by doing a little poo on his examining table.

He also thinks that I might be allergic to cow’s milk. Apparently the little bit of blood in my nappy was not really an issue, but I also sometimes have a little bit of mucus which he said meant that I might have a little colitis. If I do have this it’s in a very mild form and will probably correct itself and not get any worse. He said that doctors don’t know what causes it in babies although milk allergies are high on their list of suspects. He gave Mummy and Daddy a chart so they can write down how many poos I have and what they look like and they have to take some of my nappies in for analysis. He said that he is seeing more and more babies with this problem. A lot of time the parents don’t realise anything is wrong because, unless the baby has blood in his nappy like I did, there aren’t really any symptoms when it’s as mild as mine.

According to the chart I am getting better since Mummy stopped drinking milk. She says it’s like giving up smoking because she gets cravings and urges (she hasn’t even had a cup of tea for over two weeks!), but it’s to help make me better so she doesn’t mind. I certainly don’t know there’s anything wrong with me, I’m happy and loud and smiling as always. Mormor is convinced that Mummy is allergic to milk and says it good for her to stop drinking it so much.
