The Life of Matthew

We’ve got an exciting day ahead of us today. Mummy and Daddy have some last minute Christmas shopping to do so we are going to the nearest big town to shop  and I can look at all of the pretty Christmas lights that have been put up. I have to wrap up warm as it is getting very cold.

After shopping we are going to the clinic so that I can (hopefully) see my old midwife and give a Christmas card to her and all the lovely nurses who looked after me and Mummy when I was born. I made a special card for them with pictures of me on it.

Daddy then wants to go to McDonald’s to see if they are doing the Big Tasty! It’s being advertised in the UK but it may not have come back to Spain. Mummy and Daddy like the occasional burger but still can’t get over the fact that milkshakes are not served in Spanish McD’s. Don’t know why they’re complaining - all I ever get is milkshake!

Mummy made an interesting observation yesterday. She used to feel sorry for children who had their birthday on Christmas. Now she feels sorry for the mummies who have to be in hospital at Christmas having babies!
