Three Month Check Up

November 21st, 2006 · No Comments

Dressed up ready to go to the doctor'sToday it was off to the doctor’s for my three month check up. Doesn’t time fly? The picture shows me all dressed up and ready to go. I then decided to spit up all over my nice outfit so I had to be changed before we went out. I then spit up all over the clean clothes (in an interesting arc that went over my head) so I had to be changed a third time making us late to leave but we still arrived at the doctor’s on time.

Once at the doctor’s I had my usual examinations. I was prodded, poked and manipulated. My heart, ears, mouth and reflexes were checked and I was weighed and measured and not found wanting! I am 65 cm long and weigh 8.11 kg (which is 17.8 lbs in real money). The doctor said that I’m a big baby (duh!) but I’m proportionally big so that’s OK.

After all that I was in for a surprise. Two more injections! No one told me that there were more injections to come but I should have suspected something when the nurse came in with a trolley and then held my legs still. I cried for a little bit but soon settled down. I’m a good boy. I know because the doctor said so! Apparently I was injected for Meningitis B & C as well as the most common types of Streptococcus pneumoniae bacteria (so there!).

After the doctor’s we went to Aunty Margaret’s house for coffee and cake. I didn’t have any cake (or coffee) but Daddy had two slices so it must have been nice.

Until next time, bye bye.
