Well, the day finally arrived! Mummy, Daddy and I have waved bye bye to Mummy’s OBGYN (at least to the OB part of him). For the very first time Mummy was late for an appointment because I had to be fed before we left. Fortunately the doctor was also running late so it didn’t matter. Daddy was convinced I’d start crying in the waiting room but I was very good and just batted my eyelids at the receptionists and the nice man who brought me into this world.
Mummy is continuing to heal very well. The doctor checked that her uterus is shrinking back to size and gave her a smear test. He also wrote her a prescription for a special cream she has to put on her scar every morning and night because it’s still looking very red. She just needs 1.5kgs to get back down to her pre-pregnancy weight. After that there’s the extra 5kg she wants to lose because she and Daddy stuffed themselves with donuts and other yummy treats when they were on their weddingmoon before Mummy got pregnant. I know she’s looking forward to wearing all her normal clothes again.
The doctor said that once I’m two months old Mummy has to start doing tummy exercises. She has to lay on the bed and bring her knees up to her chest tightening her tummy muscles. She has to do sets of ten, gradually working her way up to one hundred. She can also do lots of walking and can go swimming. At the moment Mummy and I go our for a walk every evening. I like walks now; I stay awake and look at the trees and the sky while Mummy chats to me in Danish. I don’t give her time to do any other exercise and I like being out and about together.
Until next time, bye bye.
