I was listening to Classic FM this morning (classical music seems to sooth me whilst I’m nursing or being changed) when we heard a news item that told of research linking autism to “older fathers.”
Apparently there is a six fold increase of the risk of autism if a baby is born to a father over 40 compared with fathers under 30.
I’m not autistic (as far as I know) and to be honest, I don’t know much about autism (Daddy said that I should watch the film Rain Man one day), but it would be so ironic if I became autistic because of Daddy when Mummy has done so much and avoided lots of foods and drinks to ensure that I start life with the best possible chance of long term health.
One good thing that has come out of the report on Autism is that Daddy now has a biological clock which surprises me because he doesn’t even wear a watch. He also has promised me a trip to Vegas when I’m older!
Until next time, bye bye.

[…] I’ve mentioned in a previous post that I like Classic FM and in fact I seem to like instrumental and old music as a whole. Two CDs that I really like and that sooth me is the English Patient Soundtrack and Kaare Norge’s Here Comes the Sun. […]
