Day Two

August 20th, 2006 · No Comments

Let me start with an apology. I know I promised a post about everything that happened when I was born, and I will do one, but it’s going to be a long post and I’m far too busy eating and sleeping to write it today.

I’ve had a lovely day today. I’ve spent a lot of it sleeping in Mummy’s arms which is the best place in the world. Mummy sits in a chair and wraps a nursing pillow (a long thin bean bag type of thing) around her and I lie on it in front of her. In this position I can feed and sleep when I want to and the pillow supports my weight and Mummy’s back.

My midwife came to take me for my bath. I had one yesterday but today Mummy and Daddy could come and watch. The clinic uses a Tummy Tub and I really like going in it.

Mormor and Morfar came to visit and brought me some presents. I had something to eat then went to sleep.

In the afternoon Miss Margaret came to visit but I was a bit naughty and stayed asleep although I sensed that she was there. She had a good view of the back of my head so her trip wasn’t wasted! Miss Margaret bought Mummy and Daddy a bottle of Moet champagne; a perfect gift because I remember, before I was born, Mummy telling Daddy that her wish, after she stopped breast feeding, was to celebrate with a glass of Moet. Miss Margaret must be a mind reader!

I spent the rest of the day doing what I seem to do best - eating and lots of sleeping. Daddy went home to walk something called a dog and it’s just me and Mummy with of course regular visits from all the nurses.

A lovely day!

Until next time, bye bye.
