Today is supposed to be the big day - the day where I make my triumphant entrance into the world! Let the trumpets cheer, my due date is here! Only I’m not here yet and it doesn’t look like I’m going to be showing up any time soon. Mummy and Daddy are starting to get impatient, especially Mummy. Walking is uncomfortable, sitting is uncomfortable, standing is uncomfortable, lying down is uncomfortable and bending over is an exercise in sneaky torture. Poor Mummy, I don’t mean to be so much trouble. She’s just been into town with Mormor, trying to walk me out, and I did oblige by producing some small Braxton Hicks contractions but not enough to turn this into the real thing. There will be more walking later. Mummy also says she’s feeling a little nauseaous which could also be a sign that I’m on my way. It doesn’t look like I’m going to be one of those babies who are lured out by the full moon. Mummy suggested that she could lie on the bed and Daddy could try and lure me out with cookies.
Unless I show up within the next 12 hours I’m going to be officially late. I hope this is not a sign of things to come, I’ve learned that one of Mummy and Daddy’s pet peeves is people who show up late. Oops!
Until next time, bye bye.
